What is FACS?

The Family and Consumer Science classes provide students with the opportunity to learn essential life skills. It allows them to develop skills in food and nutrition, childcare and safety, interior design, clothing construction and style, consumerism, family relationships, personal responsibility, and job-related tasks. Mrs. Laursen teaches students about food saftey and basic cooking skills, while Mrs. Bennett teaches students about child development and gives students the opportunity to learn how to sew and make clothing items.
